There are many ‘systems’ out there and one is kundalini yoga. Not only is it good for you physically, it is an ancient technology with the element of gaining control over the mind (as with yoga in general). It is a spiritual practice that you can use alongside many other practices.

@Ray – At the beginning of anything worthwhile, there always seems to be a required leap of faith! I always joke that it would be great if intuitive guidance came with a written guarantee from the Universe! Unfortunately, it never does … leap away!!!!

Hi Piotr – It’s actually pretty easy to discern intuition and imagination! If you check out http://www.igniteyourintuition.com – I cover that topic pretty extensively.

On the other point you bring up – I’m actually NOT a fan of spiritual teachers giving away books and/or programs, regardless of whether we also need to make a living or not. For the simple reason that people who INVEST are far more likely to take action. Over the years, I’ve given away soooo much that’s not been useful – simply because the recipient was interested, but not invested. There’s a huge difference! When we invest, we make a commitment to ourselves to transform our experience. It’s powerful stuff.

Thanks for this. What you say is very true. Our mind is a tool that can be used to guide us in our decisions, but it must not be relied on completely. I have gone through similar struggles – I hear my soul’s message and begin to follow through, then my mind starts to analyse and produce doubts and fears, and then I would back out. When this happens, it’s a true test to following your true Self – don’t give up!

I wish I knew more, but I don’t want to pay for it . I’m sure we all know, but I think the real difficulty is understanding what an intuitive impulse is and differentiating that from what has been made up by the mind. I feel sometimes like my mind is literally just making stuff up randomly to make me feel like I am having an intuitive hit, but in reality its just something I made up that won’t lead me anywhere but will try to make up for my lack of wisdom by trying to replicate the feeling of an intuitive “hit”. For example, if right now I were to ask my intuition what to do, I’m having an impulse to go to the kitchen and eat a ton of jam and bread – in retrospect it is obvious that I made that up, and I didn’t do it deliberately to prove my point. It was mind-made randomness. We need a system, a procedure through which one may listen to the intuition and differentiate it from mental confusion! And it would be nice if for once a spiritual teacher could give away life saving books and programs for free but it is too much to ask I suppose, if this is their only means of gaining income and thats just the way the world is structured. Andrea I recommend you win the lottery and live off the interest, then offer all services for free! If I ever become a spiritual teacher that is precisely what I will do. If I have all these powers of intuition…what can’t you do really?

When I or one of my clients becomes a bit too analytical, I am reminded of a pearl of wisdom I received from one of my teachers, which goes like this;
“The mind is not a fit vehicle for this journey”. That says it all for me.
