And this is getting some of us in trouble!

You see, with this “always-on” high-speed connection to our intuitive resources, our thoughts will generate intuitive impulses incessantly.

In other words, you’re always setting intentions.  And you’re always asking for guidance.

So … how are you communicating with yourself?  Most importantly … what questions are you asking yourself in your own mind?

Sometimes we ask ourselves questions – just amidst the mind chatter of our thoughts – that are less than productive from an intuitive perspective.  And sometimes we ask ourselves questions that are downright damaging!  (This is one of the great things about the Soul Realignment modality … you learn how to ask only productive questions that actually yield meaningful information.)

Let’s say you’re asking yourself something like: “Why can’t I make more money / find that ideal romantic partner / drop twenty pounds?”

You’ll get an answer.  You’ll receive intuitive nudges and insights as to the problem at hand.  You’ll get glimpses of Soul-level memories from your Akashic Records as well as current-life memories from your subconscious memory files.  You’ll probably also attract a few obvious road blocks to show you exactly why you CAN’T.

In other words, this kind of question makes your own perceived obstacles BIGGER.

If you ask something like: “What are my self-limiting beliefs?” they are going to show up for you in a nice, pronounced way all over the place.  If you ask: “How am I holding myself back?” this is going to show up for you, too.  You’ll get a full dose of exactly how you’re holding yourself back!

Let’s say you’re asking exactly how you’re limiting yourself from creating a certain income.  Not only will you end up becoming aware of every bit of childhood programming of your financial life, your lack of ability to receive, any past-life situations where money has been a negative experience …you’ll also manifest your perceived limitation in a bigger way and your income may actually go DOWN.

Hey … you asked!  You wanted to be shown … and the Universe delivers!  And since you’re now at a high level of consciousness, it means you manifest everything bigger and faster than before.

Of course, there’s value in having a full-blown experience of your own self-imposed limitations.  If you prefer to learn through a hard slap with the Universal two by four … this is a great way to do it!

Whatever you focus on expands.  The more expanded our consciousness, the more true and immediate this becomes.  Focus on understanding issues, problems, and limitation … and that’s what you’ll get.  Persist on focusing on your “problems,” and you may end up with the perception that you are, in fact, a hot mess in spite of all your spiritual development work.

It’s much better to ask for solutions, for the roadmap to your desired outcomes.  Which means that you have to know what you want to create, to know where you are going.

Intentionality is EVERYTHING right now.  Language is resonating at a more and more literal level as the fifth dimension opens up to us.  How you phrase your intentions, how you ask for guidance, how you speak with yourself within your own thoughts … it matters more than ever.

Listen more closely to your own internal thoughts and questions today.  You may find that you are receiving exactly what you’re asking for – once you realize what you’ve been asking!

The learning never ends.  With each reading, we constantly deepen our understanding of our Divine Gifts and Soul Purpose.  With each reading, we become more conscious and self-aware.

Knowing our Divine Gifts and Purpose means we can use these attributes, apply them to our manifesting efforts, to create more of what we want. And of course, knowing the Gifts and Purpose of our loved ones means that we can also be more effective in co-creating our experience with others.

Is there a down-side to consciousness?  Consciousness expands our ability to CHOOSE, and thus gives us more power to create our human experience.  And with power also comes … responsibility.

Is responsibility a down-side? Is it a burden?  Or is it a gift?

After all, as spiritual seekers, we are choosing greater consciousness, right?  We meditate, we develop our intuition, we choose greater awareness of ourselves and others.

It stands to reason that we’re going to USE our expanded awareness to make new choices, right?

Here’s where it gets interesting.  It’s easy to let ourselves off the hook for making negative choices when we didn’t know better.  After all, we learn through making mistakes, right?

But with expanded consciousness and self-awareness is … you do know better.  If you learn to read the Akashic Records, you learn how impeccably we create our experience through choice.  You learn how choice creates consequence – positive and negative.  And you DO know when you are making choices that do not align to your Divine nature, choices that are “negative,” i.e. not an expression of your Divinity.

Oops.

It’s tough having to admit to knowing that a choice is negative – and we made that choice, anyway.

It’s tough when undesired results manifest – and we know exactly which of our choices created them.

I will admit that, occasionally, I wonder if life isn’t easier when we can pretend that we are hapless victims of circumstance, when we can make unconscious choices and pretend that life is something that just “happens.”

It’s tough knowing exactly how responsible we are.

This spiritual pity-party usually lasts all of thirty seconds.

Responsibility is empowering!  I, for one, would rather know how I personally screwed up and created what I did not want.  I’d rather know … so that I don’t have to do it again.  I’d rather step into responsibility than pretend that something “happened to me.”

Consciousness, power, and responsibility.  They go hand-in-hand, and I, for one, am grateful for all three.

What about you?  Have you claimed all three?  Because sometimes we want the power – but not the responsibility.  Sometimes we want the consciousness – but not the power.

But all three allow us to express our Divinity into our human experience … and that is, after all, why we are here.

That’s why we sometimes instantly like or dislike each other.  Or perhaps we get an instant sense of distrust when we meet someone, or even fall in love at first sight!

Still, just because our energy bodies are “public,” that doesn’t give someone permission to rummage about IN them.

Sometimes intuition becomes intrusion.

Think about your energy bodies like the clothes you wear.  They are a public expression of you and your choices.  Everyone can see them.  They may cover up a lot of you, or put certain parts of you on display.  People may be able to discern your basic body shape by looking at you, but they don’t know the details of what you look like naked.

Tuning in to someone’s energy with respect and discernment is like admiring (or not, I suppose) what they are wearing.  We look.  We notice what stands out – a flattering piece of jewelry, an unflattering pair of pants.  Obviously, we’re human, and we have opinions about what we see.

That’s all fine and good.

It’s a totally different matter if we were to attempt to go INTO someone’s energy field.  Believe me, it happens.

It’s the energetic equivalent of not just looking at how someone is dressed, but running your hands over the fabric of their shirt, and reaching into their pockets to see what’s in there!

I’m pretty darn aware when someone tries to intrude past the very “public” aspect of my energy bodies and attempts to rifle through my energetic pockets, so to speak.

Needless to say, it doesn’t feel good.  There’s a profound “ick” factor to this sort of intrusion.  And I usually speak up about it and tell them to knock it off!

I would never work with anyone who does not uphold excellent intuitive boundaries.

Why do I bring his up?

Chances are that you may have run into energetic intrusion yourself.

You may feel, in mid-conversation, that you want to take a few steps back.  You may feel squirmy.  The subject matter of the conversation suddenly feels entirely too personal.  And perhaps you’re suddenly on the receiving end of intuitive advice that you never asked for – perhaps even have no interest in whatsoever!

A few things to remember.  Intuitives cannot access your Guide team OR your Akashic Record without your express permission.  So if someone is giving you unsolicited advice in a social situation and claims it’s coming from YOUR Guide team … ignore it.

As we are collectively becoming more conscious and aware, as we are more and more willing to step out of the psychic closet … the overstepping of energetic boundaries seems to be happening more frequently, also.

When you feel uncomfortable talking to someone who is an intuitive, or an energy healer, or a psychic … listen to your instincts.  Don’t for a second “should” yourself into being “more open” or judge your own reaction as “negative.”

You know when intuition has become intrusion.  Honor your own boundaries – and speak up!  If you feel uncomfortable, there’s a reason.

Looking at energy is one thing.  That’s like noticing someone’s nifty shoes.  But going INTO our energy is inappropriate, unless we’ve given permission.

This was a question brought up by a student during one of our bi-monthly support calls just a few weeks ago.

This phenomenon is really common amongst Soul Realignment™ students and Practitioners.  Even though it doesn’t “feel” like we’re doing anything extraordinary when we are accessing the Akashic Records, overall EVERYTHING about our intuitive perception changes when we begin working with this modality.

Here’s what’s going on. (Whether you study SR or not, these are intuitive development principles you must keep in mind!)

There’s two components to this new intuitive sensitivity.  The first is that we very specifically work with a single point of access – we are accessing the Akashic Records.  Our entire modality is built around accessing Akashic Records, from the initial attainment process to the access protocol we use every time we do reading work.

See, a lot of times I run across intuitives who just … open up.  When I ask them exactly what they are reading, they really aren’t sure.  There are a LOT of sources for intuitive information – Spirit Guide teams, the Records, the mental and emotional energy bodies, just to name a few.  They are all valuable in their own way.

But what we must learn to do is not only to intentionally choose where our information is coming from.  We also have to learn, through practice, how to focus our attention and intention on our chosen access point.
Once we’ve learned how to do that … well, our intuition sharpens overall!

Intuitive focus is something that doesn’t just happen – it’s practiced, and like a habit becomes more and more natural over time.

The other aspect of intuitive development through Soul Realignment™has to do with specificity as well.

We use highly structured dowsing protocols to navigate the vast field of information that is the Akashic Records.  What we ask – in the Records, and with any other kind of intuitive practice – matters.  Ask an unproductive or non-specific question, and you get unproductive and non-specific information.

Using a dowsing pendulum is just a convenient method for getting out of our own way when receiving the answers.  What makes dowsing such a great tool is that you need to really think about how you structure your questions.  It’s this need for structured questions that truly serves our intuitive development. (And eventually, we really don’t really need to use a pendulum anymore … )

When we ask specific, highly structured questions that want to pull just one thread of energetic information from the Records … well, we once again develop the habit of highly focused intention.

Just the practice of accessing any specific intuitive access point with a series of very structured and specific questions serves to make our intuitive focus laser-sharp.

When developing your intuition – through Soul Realignment™ or any other practice – keep in mind that accuracy is developed over time, through practice.  And one of the most important aspects of accuracy is specificity.  Whether you are accessing Akashic Records, or any other intuitive access point – know which one you are using.

Know where you are going for your information.  Know exactly what threads of information you want to draw from there.  Ask for what you want with carefully worded questions.

Practice this process so that it becomes habit, and you will find that you develop a habit of highly targeted intuition … which is how your perceptions sharpen overall.

Language, like our very Being, is multi-dimensional in nature.  At the physical level, it takes form through our body’s breath and movement and becomes waves of sound that travel through the air.  Language carries both thought and emotion.  And at the fifth-dimensional level, language shapes our intention.

Language truly is the powerful bridge that allows us to act as powerful, multi-dimensional Creators of our experience.

Unless we use it against ourselves.  Unfortunately, we do this all the time.

Here’s one use of language that drives me crazy. It’s when I hear people talk about intuition coming from “Spirit.”  Phrases such as “Spirit was telling me …” or “I felt guided by Spirit …”

Here’s why: As long as we use language that distinctly separates “us” from “Spirit,” we are affirming, over and over again, that WE are not Spirit.

Which is not true.

We ARE Spirit.  Spirit IS us.  There is no separation.  In other words, when we’re talking to Spirit, we’re talking to ourselves.  When Spirit guides us, WE are guiding ourselves.  But as long as we use language that upholds Spirit as a separate entity or authority … we’re creating limitation.  We’re also abdicating our inner spiritual authority.

And THAT really messes with our intuitive development.

Instead of “asking Spirit,” are you willing to inquire within yourself for your own answers?

Instead of saying “I felt guided by Spirit …” why not use the words “I KNOW that …”

Better yet, be specific as to where, exactly, your intuitive information is coming from!

One of my favorite things about Soul Realignment is our highly specific language.  When we use our intuition – on our own behalf or on behalf of others -  clarity of intention is everything.  And what shapes that clarity is our language.

In Soul Realignment, we have specific lines of questioning that we apply to our client’s Akashic Records to ensure that we get exactly the information we want.  We name everything, and define our terminology to a very high level.

There is immense power in the “naming” of a thing … especially when it comes to energetic circumstances.  Thus, we give every energetic restriction within our client’s Records names and definitions … because this gives us the consciousness that allows us to clear and redefine that energetic circumstance.

Whether you use a highly structured system such as Soul Realignment or channel your Guides or practice any other kind of intuitive development, it is essential to harness the power of language.

Be specific – what is your intention for your intuitive inquiry?
Word your questions with care – when we use our intuition, the question in every way determines the quality of the insight we receive.
Know where you are going – what is your intuitive access point?  Too many people just randomly “open up” without any clue as to where their intuitive information is coming from.
Name the information you receive.  Put words around your intuitive insight, even if you are a visual or kinesthetic intuitive.

Your words shape your reality!  Use them wisely …

When you’re considering how to access Akashic Records, the first question you need to ask yourself is what information you desire. What is it regarding your Soul’s story that you’d like to discover? What will it be regarding your Soul Purpose that you would like to discover when you access your Akashic Records? What probable futures, that large and shifting field of information, do you want to investigate?

For most people today, the issue really isn’t how to access Akashic Records. It’s that people don’t identify what information we want that is contained inside the vastness of this specific source of knowledge!

The initial step to accurately study your Soul’s Record is to have purity of intention. What problem is going on in your life at the moment? And what do you desire to create in its place? Normally we have no clue what intuitive insight would assist us – we’re so busy with how to access Akashic Records that we don’t notice that our fuzziness of intent makes the experience vague and dissatisfying.

Once you’ve crafted crystal clear intention, give the mechanics of how to access Akashic Records to your Higher Self. Make your assertion of intention, and tell your Higher Self to access your Akashic Record. Leave the intuitive method alone when you’ve made your intention clear. Continue your day.

Likely, knowledge will happen to you when you are zeroed in on a mindless, relaxed task – you’ll be doing the dishes, traveling home, or vacuuming your home. Suddenly a Soul recollection will come through your Record, or a possible future will clarify itself before you.

Let your Higher Self do its function. It already knows how to access Akashic Records!!

But what is our intention when we access our intuition, really?  It goes far beyond the question we want to ask, or the information we are looking for.  No, when we examine our intention for accessing our intuitive resources, we also have to look at WHY we want to know what we want to know.

There are two very, very good reasons NOT to access our intuition, whether we do so through our Spirit Guides, or our Akashic Records, or contacting our own Higher Self.  That first good reason?  Curiosity!

When you go into the Akashic Records, or to your Higher Self or your Guide team in the energy of curiosity … you actually end up with intuitive information that raises more questions and creates more … curiosity!  Curiosity is based on the ego’s hunger for information, its desire to be “in the know” and to have answers.  The intention of curiosity will never result in satisfying guidance.  Instead, we seek endlessly for more information, more guidance, more inspiration.  Our mind comes up with question after question, and its hunger never abates.

Ask yourself, before you access your intuitive resources, whether the questions you’re about to ask really matter to your life right now.  Are you planning on putting guidance into action?  Is the guidance you are seeking necessary to create the life you want?  Is there a choice at hand? Or were you just … curious?

The second good reason NOT to access your intuition is reassurance.

Let’s say you receive guidance – from your Guide team, or through dowsing, for example.  Now what?  Well, now we double-check and ask again!  Maybe it’s a minute later, or three days later.  But it’s so tempting to go back to our Guides or Higher Self, or back into the Akashic Records … just to make sure we were right the first time.

What were we really seeking?  Well, most of the time our intention was to receive reassurance.  And so our intuitive resources have no choice but to give us what we want, which means that we will get the answer we most want to hear.  Nothing compromises intuitive accuracy like the need for reassurance!

When you access your intuition, the energy of your intention WILL come back to you in the answers you receive.  Access your intention with the energy of curiosity, and the guidance you receive will result in more curiosity.  Seek reassurance, and you will get the answers that reassure you.

The next time you sit down to dowse, or to communicate with your Guides, or to access the Akashic Records, ask yourself why you want to know what you want to know.  Clarity of intention is essential to intuitive accuracy!

For some of you, I know what’s going through your mind: “No way!  I would have never chosen MY parents!”  Or: “What was my Soul thinking???”

Alas, it’s true.  No matter how you feel about your parents and your childhood today … back when you were a Soul looking for a human body to inhabit, you chose your family.  And it was a very complex choice!

The Law of Attraction applies to the circumstances of our birth as it does to everything else.  In Soul Realignment, we uncover many energetic issues that are the consequence of negative choices made in past lives.  All of the choices our Soul has ever made throughout its history comprise our karma … and our birth family has to match our vibrational state and karmic history.  Like attracts like – it’s Universal Law, after all.

But before you protest: “But I’m NOTHING like my parents!” let’s examine the rest of our choice.  The Law of Attraction is only the beginning – it defines the energetic circumstances we can incarnate into, but leaves us with many options.

The Soul also chooses its human parents based on its lesson plan for the upcoming lifetime.  Our Souls have a clear intention for incarnating – there is negative karma to resolve, lessons to learn, and gifts to expand so that we may evolve ourselves through our human experience.  Our Soul may choose to make certain struggles and challenges part of its childhood because they are vital experiences to our spiritual growth … even though we may not yet have a complete understanding of how these difficulties fit into our purpose.

Having said that, sometimes Souls forget just how difficult this human existence can be.  As spiritual Beings, we forget the harshness, the effort, and the negativity that is present in this third-dimensional experience.  In communicating with my client’s Higher Selves, I have often been told that the Soul makes its choices from its pure perspective as a spiritual Being … a perspective that is very different from our human reality.

And finally, we can only choose our parents based on who they are at the time of our birth.  Our parents, too, have free will.  As our society becomes more spiritually empowered and many more choices are available to us in general, predetermination becomes less and less accurate.  Our parents can make negative as well as positive choices that were not foreseeable at the time of our conception and birth.  Because, as small children, we are not yet fully empowered through free will, our Soul’s plan can become derailed – but only for a short while.  Eventually, we receive the gift of full self-determination … and then it’s all up to us.

Incarnating into the family of our birth is as much a choice as a leap of faith – we choose, and then must surrender to the consequence of this choice until we become empowered to determine our own path.  But at the end of the day, it was our Soul’s choice that determined the circumstances of our birth.

As for those of us who have children … we can acknowledge the tremendous leap of faith that is becoming a parent.  Because, aside from creating a positive vibrational state in our lives and deciding to create a new life, we have no say about the Soul that will incarnate into our family.  We simply open our hearts and do the very best we can to honor the choice that our child’s Soul made.

Our Akashic Records also contain information about all our possible futures, a vast and changing field of information that is constantly shifting and changing based on our choices in the present moment.

From our Akashic Record, we can also access memories contained within the collective consciousness that we are currently participating in, as well as the possible futures of that collective consciousness.  In other words, society’s past and future is also accessible from our Akashic Record.  After all, we are intimately connected with all other Beings through this information super-highway that makes up the Akashic Records!

Ascension is attained when we have collectively achieved fifth-dimensional consciousness.

Personally, I don’t think our physical bodies will evaporate or anything once 2012 rolls around. (Feel free to disagree with me!)  But I do think that critical mass will be reached where many on our planet will have conscious access to the treasure trove of information that is the fifth-dimension, and that we will begin collectively making our choices from this elevated perspective.

What does this have to do with the Akashic Records?  Everything!

The Akashic Records ARE the fifth dimension!  The fifth-dimension is the energetic information super highway that is outside of time and space, through which infinite wisdom is available.  There’s a reason we are living in the “information age” and connecting virtually through the Internet as never before.  Fifth-dimensional awareness is creating these profound shifts as more and more people are coming to a new level of consciousness.

Note that I said “fifth-dimensional awareness.”  Awareness is just that – we are aware that something exists.  Fifth-dimensional consciousness, on the other hand, means that it is subject to and accessible through choice and free will.  Awareness and consciousness are two very different things.  It’s the difference between knowing that electricity comes out of a socket in your house (awareness) and knowing exactly how to wire your house (consciousness.)

Learning to read and clear the Akashic Records is the equivalent to learning how to wire our house, while simply asking for and occasionally acting on intuitive guidance is rather more like simply plugging in lights and flipping a switch.  Naturally, there are many degrees of awareness and consciousness in between these two extremes!

Fifth-dimensional consciousness means insight on demand, much as we currently have thoughts on demand.  It also means making choices from this perspective of greater wisdom and understanding.  And learning how to consciously tap into the Akashic Records is the greatest and most practical way I know to cultivate and practice becoming fifth-dimensionally conscious – because it does take practice!

Most importantly, cultivating consciousness of upper dimensions is a choice we must make.  It does not happen “to” us – while it is certainly available at all times, we must find our way to a method of learning how to access this new perspective.  Not only that, but if we are to bring this consciousness into this physical experience, we must ACT from this perspective.

If you are invested in the ascension process, discover how to appropriately and consciously access and interact with the Akashic Records in order to create the physical experience you want!  If the Soul Realignment modality doesn’t quite resonate with you, find another that does … but do not leave your potential untapped!
