Our Soul incarnates in order to experience the school of choice and consequence within a physical reality. After all, life is nothing but a vast series of choices, all of which come with a consequence – and in a physical experience, the consequences are often pretty hard to ignore!

We cannot avoid this evolutionary system of choice and consequence. There is no getting around making choices, every minute of every day. Unconsciously or consciously, every action, thought, and word carries with it a vibration, which attracts a consequence of like vibration. Even NOT making a choice is, in effect, a choice!

Our choices have far-reaching consequences. Actions taken many lifetimes ago continue to manifest their consequences to this day. After all, if a Soul is to permanently evolve and grow, then the consequences of our choices must also endure. In many ways, this is the primary study of Soul Realignment – to help our clients understand WHY they are experiencing their current circumstances, even when the choices that created them took place many lifetimes ago.

Our intuition is a remarkable tool for helping us understand the ongoing, relentless process of creation through choice. So often we direct our intuition to making future choices most aligned with our highest good. But we can also direct our intuition to assist us in understanding how we have created our current reality leading up to this present moment.

Every single circumstance in our lives – the state of our relationships, our physical health, our bank account, our careers and our families – are the result of a choice we have made. Whether we made that choice in Spirit before we incarnated, or in another incarnation altogether, whether we made a conscious or unconscious choice – we have still created all of current experience!

Our intuition is a great tool for developing excellent hindsight … and thus, gain a deeper understanding of what the choices that still lie before us may create in our future. Obviously, the Akashic Records are an amazing place to gather information about past choices. But even within the smaller, more obvious scope of our present lifetime, we can direct our intuition to assist us in understanding how we’ve created our experiences so far.

If you pick a circumstance currently in your life, you can ask your Higher Self and Spirit Guides to inspire you with understanding of its creation. You can ask to be shown, within your memory, your choices that led to the reality you find yourself in today. Make the request, and then pay attention over the next few days. Most likely, random memory flashes and thoughts of past events will arise in your consciousness. Make a note of these arising memories! They hold the key to understanding how you have acted as the powerful Creator of your current circumstances, which in turn will assist you in more consciously creating your future, as well.

Blessings,

The thing about developing our intuition is this: The mind always wants proof.

Most people who feel they need to work on developing their intuitive abilities actually receive information from the spiritual realm just fine! But then the mind gets a hold of the information … and often destroys it with its need for proof.

When we receive guidance, the immediate questions the mind poses are: “Where will this guidance take me? What will the outcome be if I do this? Is this correct? Is this really going to work? How do I know this is really right for me?”

By the time the mind is done asking these questions, any sense of clarity we had has usually disappeared!

If we are to dedicate ourselves to using our intuition – not just receiving guidance but actually ACTING on it – we have to get comfortable with mental dissatisfaction.

Intuitive guidance isn’t reasonable, logical, or rational when we receive it. Only in hindsight do we witness the elegant unfolding of events that came from acting on an intuitive impulse. Then it makes perfect sense. But not when the information first comes.

Intuitive guidance leaves the mind dissatisfied, because it is not OF the mind. But isn’t that exactly what we want?

Our mind can only take us so far in life. Our mind is a wonderful tool. But at some point, reason and logic cease to yield the results we want. If we want to grow and evolve beyond where we are right now, we need a new source of decision-making.

Can we allow our Soul to make our decisions for us? This is the essence of an intuitive impulse – a higher aspect of ourselves saying: “This way”! It is our Soul, deciding which way to go. And most of the time, we argue with it!

Do you trust your Soul to point you in the right direction? Even if you can’t rationally, reasonably explain “why” the direction is “right?” Or do you trust your mind more?

This is really the decision we must come to when we develop our intuition. Are we willing to trust our Soul more than we do our mind? If your mind and its decisions are not creating the results you want, the choice seems obvious! What if we allow our Soul to decide?

Blessings,

Is intelligence really a function of the mind? Honestly, I don’t think so! It seems to me that, the more I allow my Higher Self to guide me, the smarter I seem to get!

Last week, for example, I was mentoring at an entrepreneurial conference called CEO Space. I’m an opera singer turned massage therapist turned psychic. I’m not exactly a traditional “business woman.” There were many, many people there who have more actual “business” training and experience than I do. And yet, I was truly adding value to their business projects in our conversations.

What I was really doing, of course, is connecting with them energetically and then trusting my connection to Infinite Intelligence to do the talking for me.

There’s two different models of “intelligence” I’d like you to consider.

The first is the model of “having” a lot of knowledge. This knowledge is information that is stored in our minds that we can share with others because we’ve learned it somewhere. It’s the intelligence we are taught in school – we learn something from a book or class, integrate the information, rearrange it to fit the situation at hand, and repeat it in a new format.

The second model is based on our inner “knowingness.” We observe life. We observe ourselves and our interactions with others. We observe what creates the results we want, and what doesn’t. We don’t bother trying to cram information into our heads … these days, everything can be looked up online anyway. Instead, we try to be in a state of “not knowing” so that we can be open to the insight and wisdom that comes to us from Infinite Intelligence, via our intuition.

I will freely admit that I don’t know what I’m doing most of the time. Until suddenly I know EXACTLY what’s next, and then I know without question, in my whole Being.

Oddly enough, cramming our brains full of information that is sourced outside of ourselves can interfere tremendously with our inner wisdom. Sometimes students and clients of mine ask me how they can learn to create classes, information products, and programs of their own. Invariably, my answer is “Stop reading everyone else’s stuff.”

These days, when sitting in a classroom, I’m not listening for “how” to do anything. I am not trying to gather information. I’m listening for concepts, ideas and resources I didn’t know existed. You see, it IS our job to create an appropriate frame of reference through which we can interpret the intuitive information from Infinite Intelligence. We do need to learn about the areas of life in which we want to create – a business, new states of health, fitness, and so forth. But we don’t need to “keep” that information in our heads. All we really need to know is that the information exists. That way, we can be guided towards it as necessary by our intuition.

Are you gathering knowledge, or making space for your inner “knowing?”

Blessings,
Andrea

Have you ever heard of the “observer effect?” In physics, the term “observer effect” refers to the changes that the mere act of observation makes on an experiment. In quantum physics, there is no phenomenon that exists until it is observed. In other words, until it has been observed, it cannot manifest into the physical world.

Why is this important to intuitive development?

Because we have to understand that, by intuitively “observing” our own situation or someone else’s, past, present, or future, we cannot help but take a part in shaping that same situation.

Intuition and manifestation are inevitably entangled, impossible to separate. There is no such thing as “just” psychically observing. If we direct our intuition towards a question, issue or situation, we are also acting as Creators.

When we take the “observer effect” into account, we recognize how vital clarity of intention is in the use of intuition. The way we look at intuitive information – our perspective, our consciousness – actually influences the manifestation of the situation we are observing. When our intent is clearly defined, we can use our intuition to step more powerfully into our role as Creators of our experience. Through observation, we can actually “birth” the situation we are regarding.

What about using our intuition on behalf of others? In Soul Realignment, the intention of the Practitioner is always to work in alignment with the highest path and purpose of our client, and the highest good of all. By observing who our clients are at Soul-level, we actually assist them in manifesting their most Divine aspect into their human experience.

If observation itself is an act of manifestation, then what we look at intuitively and how we look at it significantly shapes our experience. This means that the following components must all be considered with great responsibility before we regard any situation intuitively:

The intention with which we ask our questions

The actual questions we ask

Our reaction to the answers we receive

Instinctively, many of us are pretty “fuzzy” when it comes to using our intuition. Perhaps this is because we know, deep down, that precision and clarity are powerful tools for creating our experience – which puts us in a position of great power and great responsibility.

Where are you directing your intuition? And how are your acts of observation shaping your reality? Leave your comment and share!

Blessings,
Andrea

Intuitive information is frequently unreasonable. We are nudged to do things that appear, in the moment anyway, unnecessary or a little strange. Usually it’s nothing too outlandish – but having no good reason for the impulse causes us to hesitate.

We might get a nudge to go to the bank and take care of financial matters. We brush the thought away, thinking that it can wait … only to be inconvenienced a few days later when we discover that our money is in the wrong account at the wrong time.

We may get an impulse not to get on our motorcycle. We go anyway, with nothing untoward happening … until we wipe out on an oil slick two days later, doing damage to our motorcycle and getting bruised and beat up in the process.

In these cases we recognize the intuitive impulse in retrospect. We understand, looking back, the value of the information we received. And in hindsight, we even realize that we recognized the information the moment it entered our consciousness. Most importantly, we recognize the choice we made to simply ignore our intuition.

Why do we do it? Why do we ignore this valuable intuitive information, even though we are spiritually-minded individuals consciously seeking Divine guidance?

We ignore our intuition because, in the moment, we judge ourselves. We tell ourselves we’re imagining things. We brush the nudge away, telling ourselves it’s probably nothing, that we’re just being unreasonable or silly.

We judge ourselves instead of trusting ourselves.

We ignore intuition even more frequently when we are afraid of being judged by others. Will our spouse think us silly for insisting on taking a different way home – just because we have a gut feeling? Will our boss honor our instincts if we tell him that we have a weird vibe about a business deal? Will our family think we’ve gone nuts if we enroll in that spiritual development course we’ve been so powerfully drawn to?

Fear of judgment – judging ourselves, or being judged by others – frequently stops us in our tracks when it comes to listening to our intuition.

When we seek to develop our intuition, we have to give ourselves permission to be a bit unreasonable. Intuition, after all, is information that comes from beyond the reasonable, logical mind. We have to allow ourselves, without judgment, to follow our instincts for a while without knowing where they may lead. We have to good-naturedly accept that the people we love might roll their eyes at our decisions from time to time.

When we give ourselves this permission, following our intuition can be exhilarating. We can joyfully follow where we are led, full of curiosity and anticipation of wonderful things to come.

If you are working with your intuition, suspend judgment. See what happens!

Blessings,
Andrea

When it comes right down to it, we can only trust our intuition as much as we trust ourselves. Our intuition, after all, comes from the wisest, most Divine part of ourselves, our Higher Self. Our Higher Self is an integral part of who we are – not separate, but intimately connected to all of our other aspects. Our Higher Self is as much a part of our Being as our conscious and subconscious mind.

So the question is: Do you trust yourself to give yourself the information and guidance you need to create what you want?

Falling into the perception of separation is easy when it comes to intuition. We think of guidance as something that comes from outside of ourselves, from Spirit, from another plane of existence. But we ARE Spirit, and we exist on all planes simultaneously. The guidance we are seeking, all the answers we could ever want or need, are already available to us because we are One with the source of our intuition.

What if receiving guidance is as simple as trusting ourselves to know exactly what we need to know, exactly when we truly need it?

What if all of our questing and seeking and searching for guidance is an expression of mistrust that does nothing but create separation from the certainty we are looking and longing for?

Our mind loves its questions. It loves the search for information and understanding. The mind is constantly hunting for more “food for thought.” That is its role – to think. Trying to stop the mind from thinking is a completely unreasonable endeavor. The mind is just doing its job.

We can make the questions in our mind important. We can make finding the answers a priority, and engage our energy in the search for information, guidance and wisdom. We can work hard to “figure things out.”

Or we can simply be at peace with our questions, trusting ourselves to reveal the answers we need, when we need them, in perfect and Divine timing.

Blessings,

Andrea

When working with our intuition, there are two kinds of discipline that come into play. One is the discipline of taking action on our intuitive nudges. The other is the discipline of allowing guidance to unfold, one step at a time, without allowing our mind to come up with a plan!

Intuitive nudges are so gentle and non-compelling that it’s easy to ignore them. So when a thought whispers through our mind out of nowhere, it’s important to act on that impulse as soon as possible. This is the first kind of discipline – to take action readily, without needing life to kick us into gear through dire circumstances. If we cultivate a willingness to take action, even if it takes us out of comfort zone, then we are truly allowing our intuition to change our experience for the better.

The other kind of discipline is especially important for the highly motivated worker bees among us! Intuition only ever gives us the next step of our journey – because it’s the only step that is available to us. When we take that step, the next will be revealed and so forth.

It’s so easy for the mind to jump in, grab that next step, and spin it into a clever plan! The mind so desperately wants to “know” its path, wants to control its future and be sure of the outcome of our actions. It’s tempting to take an intuitive impulse – a nudge to reconnect with a friend, a business idea, a creative urge – and create an elaborate step-by-step action plan. The mind tends to leap ahead of the next step and create logical, reasonable extensions of the original intuitive impulse.

If we turn an intuitive nudge into a plan, we may be very disappointed with the outcome. We may even begin believing that our intuition isn’t to be trusted. In reality, our mind began running the show while our intuition was left by the side of the road.

It takes discipline to remain in a state of “I don’t know” when we take one single step as guided … and then wait for the next step to be revealed.

It’s hard to ignore the shifts and changes in consciousness on our planet. Old paradigms of society, purpose, work and money are falling away. Everything is speeding up. And those of us who are choosing to engage with our spiritual resources are leading the way.

When you access your intuition – the wisdom that comes from your Higher Self – you are accessing fifth-dimensional consciousness. The fifth dimension, if you are not yet aware, is the next “place” to which we are evolving. And when you not only access your intuition, but ACT on it, you make choices based on your Higher Self’s desire to express itself into this physical lifetime. Every single time you do that, you are grounding fifth-dimensional consciousness on our planet. You are leading the shift.

The fifth dimension is what we generally perceive as the spiritual plane. There are many, many modalities focused on opening up to fifth-dimensional consciousness. Soul Realignment is one of those modalities – we read and heal in the Akashic Records, which are, again, a fifth-dimensional place. We give people a sense of who their Higher Self is, so they can bring their Soul purpose into this lifetime.

But all those modalities are not going to help our personal or planetary evolution unless we ground those fifth-dimensional frequencies in the physical. THAT is what evolves us while we are incarnated.

What does that mean? We cannot separate ourselves from our Soul purpose, for one thing. If you’ve been secretly wishing or yearning you could make your living doing something different (and perhaps less “practical”) then now is the time.

As fifth-dimensional consciousness becomes more accessible to us, reason and logic is going to show its vast limitations. Ignoring our intuition, our Higher Self, is going to become downright impractical.

If you have the desire to be a part of the planetary shift in consciousness – if you are ready to lead the shift – then begin acting on your intuition. Allow your Higher Self to lead the way, to express your Divine gifts into this lifetime. Not only will it serve to transform your experience … you are also transforming our world.

Blessings,

It seems that at least once a month or so, I get an email from someone who’s found me online, asking me if they could use dowsing to win the lottery. And if yes, they would like exact instructions on how to do so. These inquiries usually make me giggle and shake my head at the same time.

Intuition is indeed a very practical resource. We decide on our desired destination, and our intuition shows us how to get there. But our intuition is information from our Soul itself – and our Soul wants to grow and evolve through the experience of creating our circumstances here.

Trying to use intuition or dowsing to win the lottery is like trying to opt out of one of the most valuable aspects of third-dimensional life: the exchange of energy with the world through money. We contribute energy to the world through the value we have to offer. And the world returns that energy to us as money. It is one of the most challenging, rewarding, and revealing feedback mechanisms we have in this physical experience. For most of us, abdicating participation in this system of energetic exchange by winning the lottery is simply not aligned with our highest path and purpose.

Intuition will help make our lives run smoother, and will help us get to our goals with greater ease and grace. But intuition will not let us abdicate our responsibility to actively create our experience. We don’t get to opt out of any aspect of this physical experience, including the financial aspect. That would be short-changing ourselves out of tremendous opportunity for growth.

When we work with our intuition, we have to be prepared to take action, to shift our experiences through conscious effort. Our intuition will certainly tell us how to do so efficiently and effectively. But we still need to do our third-dimensional work!

Check in with yourself. Do you ever wish that your intuition could offer you a “quick fix” for a difficult life situation? Is there an aspect of this human experience that you wish your intuition could get you out of altogether … like having to deal with money? Often, the life areas that we want to deal with the least are those that can offer us the greatest spiritual growth. And our intuition can indeed assist us in these areas – but not with an easy “out.”

Blessings,

One of the fears that new students of intuition tell me about is “What if I tell someone something wrong and they make bad decisions based on what I tell them in a reading?” There is a sense of heavy responsibility when we move into professional reading and energy healing work.

As healing and helping professionals, we have to maintain a state of detachment about the outcome of our work. We have to remember that the responsibility to heal, to move forward, to release negativity, and to make choices based on their highest good lies solely with our client.

Any healing or service – whether that’s intuitive readings, energy work, coaching or counseling – is merely about facilitating change. We cannot “fix” an issue. We cannot clear, heal, or transform anyone. As healers and helping professionals, we facilitate the client in fixing, clearing, healing and transforming themselves.

It’s not about being an “accurate” intuitive, a “powerful” energy worker, or an “effective” healer. Wanting to be accurate, powerful, or effective is about our ego. It’s about us – not about the client. We get attached to the “quality” of our work. We want to be good at what we do. We work with and on our clients, instead of the client working with and on themselves.

Our work becomes more effective when we completely detach from the outcome of what we do. When we give back all responsibility for self-healing and transformation to our clients, we can step back into the role of facilitation. In this way, we honor our clients as the truly powerful creators of their own experience.

So if we wonder whether we could take on the responsibility of healing or intuitive work, we must remember that our only responsibility lies in doing work that gives us joy and allows us to expand on our own path of spiritual evolution. And when we increase the energies of joy and expansion, our work in this world is, in many ways, already done.

Blessings,
